LATE PROF. SUBAS CHANDRA JENA ENDOWMENT AWARD IS DESIGNATED FOR THE STUDENT WHO SECURES THE HIGHEST MARK IN DISCRETE MATHEMATICS DURING THE FIRST YEAR OF THE MCA PROGRAM, STARTING FROM THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-25.

In memory of Late Prof. Subas Chandra Jena, his son, Dr. Debasish Jena, has generously installed an Endowment Award from the academic year 2024 to be given to the student of IIMT, who will secure highest mark in Discrete Mathematics during the first year of the MCA Program. Dr. Debasish Jena is associated with Interscience Institute of Management Technology as a mentor and help the poor and meritorious students, whenever asked by the institute. This award shall be given to the student who will secure highest mark in Discrete Mathematics of MCA Program. The winner of this award shall receive a citation and Certificate.

Late Prof. Subas Chandra Jena was an eminent Mathematician. He got his PhD from Berhampur University. He has guided more than 10 PhD scholar. He wrote book on Mathematics called Higher Secondary Mathematics which is popular among +2 students. He worked as professor in various prestigious institute like Gangadhar Meher University. Sambalpur, Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar Autonomous College, Bhubaneswar, Ravenshaw University, formerly known as Ravenshaw College, Cuttack. As an education administrator worked as DDPI and DPI incharge in Secondary education for more than 10 years.

Prof. Jena has more than 15 years of Industry experience. He was consulting to Health Department, Govt. of Orissa for a period of 2 years. He is the author or co-author of over 50 publications and book chapters. His research interests are Information Security, Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks, and Network Security. He teaches Networking, Network and Information Security. His professional memberships include IEEE, ACM, ISTE, IACSIT, MIE (I), CSI, and OITS.
