SCHOLARSHIPS & AWARDS

"LATE PROF. (DR.) MAHESH CHANDRA SAHOO ENDOWMENT AWARD FOR THE BEST GIRL STUDENT OF MBA" WILL BE CONFERRED UPON A GIRL STUDENT IN HER FIRST YEAR FOR SECURING THE HIGHEST CUMULATIVE GRADE POINT AVERAGE (CGPA) AMONG ALL OTHER GIRLS OF MBA PROGRAM FROM THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2024-25.

In memory of Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Chandra Sahoo, his Family Members have generously installed "LATE PROF. (DR.) MAHESH CHANDRA SAHOO ENDOWMENT AWARD FOR THE BEST GIRL STUDENT OF MBA" from the academic year 2024-2025. This award will be conferred upon a girl student in her First year for securing the Highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in her First Year of MBA Program at IIMT, Bhubaneswar. The recipient of this endowment award will be honored with a Citation and a Certificate.

Late Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Chandra Sahoo

(1941-2021)

Late Dr. Mahesh Chandra Sahoo was a distinguished academician, an eminent philanthropist and a spiritual seeker. After graduating at the top of his class in the Department of Civil Engineering from UCE, Burla in 1965 (currently known as VSSUT), he joined his alma mater for teaching and further studies. He had a special interest in the courses of Structural Engineering. He received Post Graduate degree and PhD in Civil Engineering from Sambalpur University. He was an inspiring teacher and a role model to all his students. He spent his time with students outside the classroom motivating them for social work. His major philanthropic contributions for the Burla town include the construction of Jagannath Temple, setting up NAC College, management of Leprosy Colony, setting up and management of Shivanandashram. After retirement from academics, he devoted his full time into spiritual pursuit by taking sanyas and was also known as Swami Atmananda Saraswati.
