Master of Business Administration (MBA)

IIMT is offering Master of Business Administration (MBA) affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela which is a 2-year postgraduate degree program. MBA course curriculum is designed in a way that there is a combination of both theoretical and practical aspects; wherein classroom sessions and seminars take care of the theoretical knowledge and internships and workshops provide candidates with industrial exposure and real-time problems making them industry-ready.

Objectives

The two-year programme is designed to prepare competent men and women for careers in management in the corporate sector and in public systems.

The courses impart a generalist perspective, which will enable students to view the entirety of an organisation as well as its place in a larger environment. The students are also trained in technical and functional business skills such as accounting, finance, marketing and production; and are helped to develop their analytical and integrative skills so that they can define problems with clarity and formulate alternative solutions for implementation.

Besides professional expertise our emphasis is on training students for collaboration and teamwork through the development of human relation skills, and of attitudes which elicit a commitment to excellence along with awareness of their social and ethical responsibility.

It is hoped that the future manager will become a powerful force for socio-economic change and progress.

Admission Criteria

Eligibility

  1. Passed Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years' duration from any University of Odisha or from a recognized University as defined by UGC/ AICTE
  2. The minimum qualification for admission into this program is Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. The candidates pursuing final year graduation and expecting their result by July 31 can also apply
  3. The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.
  4. There is no age limit for admission to MBA course.
  5. The students appearing in their final degree examination may also apply for the entrance test.

Selection Procedure

The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Rank Card in OJEE / CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ATMA examination results.

Entrance Test

  1. OJEE: Once in a year
  2. CAT: Once in a year
  3. XAT: Once in a year
  4. MAT: 4 times in a year
  5. CMAT: Twice in a year
  6. ATMA: 4 times in a year

Documents Required

Attested photocopies in duplicates of the following documents and photographs are to be submitted along with the application. The final year graduating students are required to submit the Class X pass certificate and photograph with an undertaking to submit the degree pass mark sheet/certificate by July 31.
